Season Debut / Try-Outs

Please note that Try-outs for Novice, Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget will begin on Saturday September 10th, 2011.
The try out schedule will be posted on our Google calendar in early September.

Power Skating Clinic

AHMSI will host its 3rd Annual Power Skating Clinics in 2011. The Sessions will take place at the St-Isidore arena on August 30th, September 1st, 6th and 8th.

With the May 31st deadline having passed, returning players will now be subject to a late fee.
This fee does not apply to new registrations.

REGISTRATION TABLE AT BANQUET

SIMHA will have a registration table set up on April 16th 2011 at the Annual Minor Hockey Banquet. Please bring your check book and register your child prior to the May 31st 2011 deadline to avoid late fees. Thank you.

The SIMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM)

AGM will take place on Wednesday April 27th at 7:00PM. It will take place in the upstairs hall of the St-Isidore arena. Door prizes will be available for any non-executive member who attends the meeting.

ATOM NATION CHAMPIONS 2010-2011

The St-Isidore Atom Nation team won the championship this season with a 2-1 win over Embrun taking the series 7 points to 5 in an incredibly close and well played series.

Arena Update:

The structural repairs to the St-Isidore Recreation Centre are completed and the building will be open and operational as of today, Friday, January 21st 2011.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Parents, there will be an important meeting prior to the 1st try out on Saturday September 11th 2010. During this meeting, we will explain the new method SIMHA will use to create our teams at every level. Please review the Google calendar below in order to see when your child’s try-outs will begin. This meeting will take place in the dressing room shortly after the players take to the ice surface.

SIMHA 1st Annual Golf Tournament

SIMHA hosted its 1st Annual Golf Tournament at La Cité Golf Course in Hawkesbury on Friday August 13th. The day was a tremendous success and due to the tireless effort from many SIMHA executive members, the event raise over $5200.00 for our minor hockey children.
We would like to thank everyone who donated and/or participated in the event and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

2010-2011 Training Sessions for Coaches, Trainers and Managers

The Ottawa & District Hockey Association, in conjunction with Hockey Canada, has taken important and necessary steps towards the prevention of abuse and harassment within amateur hockey. Included in this process is the educational program Speak Out, designed to impact on the attitudes, skills and knowledge of “front-line volunteers” which will result in the safe, sportsmanlike environment for all of our members and especially the players.
